21 May, 2015

On May 21 of 2015, on the Day of Ascension which is one of Twelve Great Feasts, and Remembrance Day of St. Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian, Bishop Jerome visited St. John Cathedral of Brooklyn and celebrated there a Divine Liturgy.

His Grace celebrated together with Dean of First Deanery of New York and Rector of the Cathedral Archpriest Alexander Belya, Archpriest George Kallaur, (Rector of the church of the Mother of God “Unexpected Joy”, Staten Island, NY), Deacon Petr Utkin (clergyman of the Cathedral) and Deacon George Temidis (member of Diocesan Council).

A lot of parishioners prayed during the Liturgy.

Bishop Jerome addressed the faithful sermon about the Feast of the Ascension.

After the end of service a meal was organized in the parochial refectory chamber. There were pronounced celebratory toasts, fathers Alexander and George talked about the difficulties for promotion of daily parish life.
